Coasts that Work is a network of organizations working together to ensure that BC’s coastal communities are thriving economically, culturally, and ecologically.
Our shared vision is of a BC coast that enjoys healthy coastal ecosystems, communities and jobs. To achieve this we are working to strengthen provincial policy and legislation that would support BC’s role in coastal stewardship and provide a robust framework for implementation of marine use plans. Coasts that Work is a multi-stakeholder collaborative project led by representatives from the commercial fishing, conservation and labour sectors.
We want to hear about the issues that are affecting BC’s coastal communities. Please fill out the short form below to tell us about the issues that are most important to you, ask us any questions about Coasts That Work, and to sign up for updates.
